Shadi Ireifej, DVM, DACVS: VetTriage is a company that I've been working on for well over a decade now. The idea came to me when I was performing my surgery internship. I was watching the receptionist answer phone calls, and I noticed that they [answer] 100 calls a day in a busy 24/7 emergency multispecialty facility and a lot of clients were calling in asking about whether they should come in or not, is what I'm seeing in my patent medical emergency. So I thought, (and this is in 2007-ish) I thought, man, if you can just create a platform that allows doctors to answer the phone call to answer that question...
