Knoxville, Tenn. -- The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine will welcome its fifth dean Oct. 1 with the appointment of Dr. James Thompson.

-- The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine will welcome its fifth dean Oct. 1 with the appointment of Dr. James Thompson.
Thompson now serves as executive associate dean at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine.
His Tennessee appointment follows the recent 32,000-square-foot expansion of the John and Ann Tickle Small Animal Hospital and increased class sizes to help meet veterinary work force needs.
