Construction crews are packing up now, making room for horses at the recently completed 19,000-square-foot "world-class" Equine Pavilion at Texas A&M University.

Near the Large Animal Hospital, the newest addition to the College ofVeterinary Medicine campus will feature ample treatment rooms, breedingareas and equine reproduction laboratories. Additionally, stall capacityfor equine patients has increased by 70 percent.

"This is truly a world-class facility," says H. Richard Adams,dean of the veterinary college. "It will also enhance the learningexperience of future generations of Texas veterinarians who will be assumingkey roles in the medical and surgical care of horses well into the 21stcentury."

Diagnosis and treatment of reproduction disorders, semen collection andpreservation, oocyte transfer and evaluation services are the thrust ofthe new facility.
