Tasha McNerney, CVT, CVPP, VTS (Anesthesia and Analgesia): When we're talking about...cats, or brachycephalic [breeds], like those really small little apple-headed friends that we have come in, that's where I like to pull out the Macintosh blade [which] you notice has a curve to it. So instead of a straight [blade], this curves in and it actually is used to pull that epiglottis down.
