The championship culture revolves around having a culture of empowerment. Too often, doctors are doing too much in the practice, Dowdy says. When we can create a culture where employees see their position as a career — not just a job — and they're empowered to do 80 percent of what happens in the veterinary practice, that creates this championship culture. Now, the entire team has the opportunity to create relationships with clients and patients, and increase their capacity to serve clients and patients more effectively.
