Lisa Radosta, DVM, DACVB: You are always going to do, with every behavioral problem, your complete physical workup. Period. End of story, right? I don’t care if the lady says that her dog is spiteful and hates her partner, it doesn’t matter. That dog has to be worked up. So, based on my personal experience, about 50% of patients at my referral practice have undiagnosed either orthopedic pain or systemic disease.
