Audrey Weaver, DVM: With [exams] being like a performance just like you said, as you can imagine the fatigue sets in when you are not able to be your authentic self and you are portraying this image of what you think you are supposed to be as a [veterinarain] and it adds on to the compassion fatigue, the anxiety, and all that that vets deal with, so it is nice to be able to let that go and be my authentic self and see it received well. A lot of my clients are very happy with someone being able to just kind of talk to them and treat them as an equal but knowing that I have a little bit more of the knowledge and I want the best for their pet.
