Vet-spiration: Your weekly dose of happy from the veterinary world
1. Rescue kittens!
This adorable two-some were first spotted under a bush by Deborah Tarlton, owner of The Cat’s Pause in Grapevine, Texas. The kittens, Bubba and Dottie, weighed about half a pound and had been separated from their mother when Tarlton took them in. Now they both weigh in over a pound and they’re receiving regular veterinary care.
2. Stress-free veterinary visits
We love the passion veterinary practices are showing to take the scary out of veterinary visits. You can see what some of your colleagues are doing to relax pets here.
3. Football! Er, soccer. Football!
Meet Ike! This dvm360 staff member's dog loves soccer so much, he's named after Spanish goalkeeper Iker Casillas. Despite a devastating USA loss, we've still got World Cup fever. Did you watch? Who did root for? Email us pics of your own furry friends enjoying the beautiful game!
4. Cats and physics!
We can't stop laughing over this video of Sophie going "stir crazy."
5. An extra pair of hands on a busy day
Summer’s here, and that means summer vacations. So we’re grateful for a little extra help. Here, David Lee Sloth helps out the dvm360.com team proofing an article. David’s one of the good ones, but have you ever worked with a bully sloth in practice? One who takes credit for the work but never lifts a finger? The good news: We have tips to handle these bullies here.
