Scholarships open to current or former New Jersey residents pursuing a career in veterinary medicine
The American Veterinary Medical Foundation, in partnership with the Harold Wetterberg Foundation, is once again awarding scholarships to current or former New Jersey residents pursuing a career in veterinary medicine.
Applicants must be second- or third-year veterinary students or students enrolled in postgraduate education in veterinary medicine, have graduated from a New Jersey high school, and have had a 3.0 GPA or higher at their veterinary school and undergraduate school. Preference is given to students pursuing dual degrees and those who have graduated from or attended a university in New Jersey.1
According to the American Veterinary Medical Foundation website, official eligibility requirements include:2
*NOTE: Graduation or attendance at a New Jersey college is preferred, but not required.
Award amounts range from $5,000-$15,000 for the students selected; previous recipients are eligible to apply. The application period opens January 1, 2023 and the deadline for this scholarship program is March 15, 2023.1
