Webster Veterinary acquires Long Island distributor
Devens, Mass. - Webster Veterinary acquired American Veterinary Supply Corp., a full-service veterinary distributor on Long Island that serves about 2,000 veterinary practices and hospitals in the New York metropolitan area.
DEVENS, MASS. — Webster Veterinary acquired American Veterinary Supply Corp. (AVSC), a full-service veterinary distributor on Long Island that serves about 2,000 veterinary practices and hospitals in the New York metropolitan area.
With sales of approximately $25 million, AVSC will operate as a Webster branch. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Headquartered in Bohemia, N.Y., AVSC serves customers through nine territory sales representatives and 10 in-house customer service representatives.
Webster Veterinary distributes consumable veterinary supplies, equipment and software, diagnostic products, vaccines and pharmaceuticals to veterinary clinics, and is part of the Patterson Companies.
