"A really common pharmaceutical that animals get into are ADHD medications for children. Kids don’t like to take their meds so they give it to the dog instead.These medications can certainly cause the pets to be more agitated, [have] high heart rates, high blood pressure, [and] even tremors and seizures.
Your best friend, in these cases, is acepromazine. We do not give these guys any type of benzodiazepine because it actually makes them more affected."
