The Fetch dvm360® conference kicks off April 22, 2022 and runs through April 24, 2022. This time, it is taking place in Charlotte, North Carolina—also known as “Queen City.” While you’re visiting for the convention, discover what this city has to offer by exploring these local landmarks, compelling attractions, and fun activities, before, after or between conference sessions.
Charlotte landmarks
Uptown
Consisting of a buzzing city center, the uptown area boasts as the nation’s second-largest financial hub.1 Along with skyscrapers, visitors can look up to see the Overstreet Mall, which is intertwined through the district and attached by skywalks. Treat yourself to dinner at a rooftop restaurant, enjoy a drink at a cocktail bar, and immerse yourself in the culture at surrounding museums and art venues.
NASCAR Hall of Fame
Charlotte is renowned for being home to the NASCAR Hall of Fame which celebrates the history and culture of auto racing and all those who have contributed to the sport. Featuring a high-tech building, the venue informs and engages both aficionados and nonaficionados of racing, plus it includes artifacts, hands-on exhibits, a theater, and other features.

The Market at 7th Street
The Market at 7th Street is a nonprofit food hall displaying the unique and local food culture of the Carolinas in a relaxed atmosphere. An excellent choice whether you are in the mood for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a simple snack, it supports food artisans, as well as small businesses, and women and minority entrepreneurs. After grabbing a bite to eat, explore an array of goods and souvenirs at the retail stores within the vicinity.
Mint Museum Uptown
Established in 1936, Mint Museum is North Carolina’s first art museum2 serving as an institution of international art and design to inspire others and transform them through the power of creativity. Located in the center of Charlotte, Mint Museum Uptown is home to the world-known Craft +Design collection, plus remarkable assortments of American, contemporary, and European art.
Outdoor adventures
Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden
The Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden offers enchanting scenery that includes 110 acres of gardens, fountains, and paths weaving through the landscape as well as a lake. With annual and perennial displays, you are sure to catch some captivating spring flowers in bloom at the time of your stay.
US National Whitewater Center
There are plenty of activities to engage in within this magnificent 1300-acres of protected land where you can zipline, bike or hike the trails, kayak, and, most notably, whitewater raft among the rapids where the US Olympic teams train. It can also simply serve as a scenic spot to enjoy a meal and unwind while taking in nature. The complex hosts a variety of events including concerts and races.
Nightlife
South End
The trendy South End is lined with breweries, cideries, and wine bars. Maneuver the district through the Rail Trail—a path in this captivating public park uniting the community—to explore the variety of restaurants and ice cream shops, charming boutiques, and art galleries while enjoying live music.
