Jenny Fisher, RVT, VTS: Oncology was not something that I wanted to do. I'll be honest, I took an oncology job because it was great pay and great benefits and it took me about 2 weeks, and then I realized what I had been missing. [Oncology] also made me realize the preconceived notions I had coming into the position. But once I got some education—and some facts about cancer medicine—it completely changed how I saw these patients.
