*IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION: The safe use of PANOQUELL®-CA1 has not been evaluated in dogs with cardiac disease, hepatic failure, or renal impairment; dogs that are pregnant, lactating, or intended for breeding; or puppies under 6 months of age. PANOQUELL®-CA1 should not be used in dogs with a known hypersensitivity to fuzapladib sodium. PANOQUELL®-CA1 is a highly protein-bound drug and its use with other highly protein-bound medications has not been studied. The most common adverse effects in the pilot field study were anorexia, digestive tract disorders, respiratory tract disorders, and jaundice. PANOQUELL®-CA1 is not for use in humans. Limited data is available on the potential teratogenic effects of fuzapladib sodium. Therefore, anyone who is pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant should avoid direct contact with PANOQUELL®-CA1.  Lotilaner is a member of the isoxazoline class. This class has been associated with neurologic adverse reactions including tremors, ataxia and seizures. Neurologic adverse reactions have been reported in cats receiving isoxazoline class drugs, even in cats without a history of neurologic disorders. Use with caution in cats with a history of neurologic disorders. The safety of Credelio CAT has not been established in breeding, pregnant and lactating cats. The effectiveness of Credelio CAT against

: Right now, there's about a two-to-three month waiting period between us getting into a doctor in an in-clinic setting. If the dog has had a little bit of loose bowels, we can talk to them before sending them to you. We can even send them a fecal kit to get their fecal ahead of time...Now you just have to prescribe your dewormer and you're done. You know, we're here to assist and complement the in-person clinic.

Then, go in and approve it or fax it back or get on the phone to the retail pharmacy and try to reach the pharmacist who can actually talk to you to approve a prescription. So, it's kind of a double burn for the veterinary teams, because not only are they losing the sale of that prescription product, but then they have to lose a bunch of their time dealing with that in an inefficient way too.

Zenrelia, or the drug name illunocitinib, is a Janus kinase or JAK inhibitor that was recently approved by the FDA to control pruritus in dogs with allergic dermatitis and control atopic dermatitis in dogs that are over 12 months of age. So it can be used for both short term acute cases of allergies like flea hypersensitivity or contact allergies or even flare ups in a longer term case, and it could also be used for long term treatment, as in chronic cases of atopy. What's really great about Zenrelia is that the dose has been optimized to allow for once daily dosing from the start, and this has some really clear advantages for both veterinarians and pet owners.

First of all, it's just simpler. So communicating once daily dosing from the beginning to a pet parent is easier than talking about having to do a dosing change partway through treatment.
