In a recent interview with dvm360®, Lahkia Fuller, MS, dvm360® student ambassador, explained what encouraged her to pursue veterinary medicine, crediting her mother for all the times she exposed her to animals as a child.

Lakhia Fuller, MS: I was inspired to go to [veterinary] school because my mom loves animals. I think in another life she would have been a [veternarian]. When I was younger, I was always going to a zoo or the aquarium or [my mother] always made sure I was a part of some summer program or camp that had something to do with animals.
