Eight veterinary students were selected to receive $2,500 scholarships from the American Association of Equine Practitioners and the American Livestock Insurance Co.
The scholarships are presented annually to fourth-year veterinary students who plan to pursue a career in equine medicine.
Recipients were from Oregon State University; Texas A&M University; The Ohio State University; Mississippi State University; Louisiana State University; the University of Missouri; the University of Pennsylvania; and the University of Georgia.
