Germantown, Md.

-- The American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS) and Hill's Pet Nutrition have announced a strategic partnership through ACVS' new Industry Partners Program.

One of the primary goals for this program is to strengthen the strategic goals of ACVS' partnering organizations while mutually advancing veterinary surgery.

Prior to becoming an Industry Partner, for more than 20 years Hill's Pet Nutrition has been a supporter of ACVS educational programs. Hill's Pet Nutrition has been an annual sponsor of the Mark W. Allam Lecture, the multi-day technicians' program, multiple ACVS Veterinary Symposium scientific seminars and a regular contributor to the ACVS Foundation.

"We take pride in our special relationship with veterinarians around the world, and we're committed to supporting professional organizations that help the veterinary health care industry thrive. With that in mind, we are very pleased to team up with ACVS in the ACVS Industry Partners Program. This unique association will help allow the ACVS to further this mission, and we are delighted to be a part of this strategy moving forward" says Dr. Daniel Aja, Director of Professional Affairs for Hill's Pet Nutrition.

ACVS and Hill's Pet Nutrition are working together to maximize both organizations' dedication to promoting excellence in veterinary surgery and animal health care.

"ACVS has always valued Hill's significant contributions to improving the health of our companion animals through better nutrition," says Dr. Steven Budsberg, ACVS president. "As one of our most committed long-term supporters, we are excited to continue our relationship with Hill's as an Industry Partner. It is our goal to make certain that this partnership will not only serve ACVS Diplomates and the Hill's community, but that together we will enhance the veterinary community as a whole. The ACVS leadership will continue to work diligently with the Hill's team to improve pet nutrition awareness for our membership and all animal owners."
