Serum testing and easy-to-read results allow more accurate detection of allergen specific canine, feline and equine IgE, the company says. The efficacy of Elisa-based immunotherapy has been demonstrated to be greater than 75 percent, the company says. Greer Laboratories' prescription compounding service provides each patient's specifically formulated allergy immunotherapy set and a detailed dosage schedule, the company adds.

The Aller-g-complete test is a solid-phase enzyme immunoassay that incorporates a cocktail of monoclonal anti-IgE antibodies to detect multiple antigenic sites on IgE molecules. The equine allergen test panel is highly specialized for horses and their environments, the company says. It features 48 pollens and molds, 12 insects including Culicoides and horse fly, 12 common farm and stable allergens including grain mill dust mix, grains and specific barn molds. Veterinarians need only provide 3 ml to 5 ml of patient serum in the vial included, complete the history and order form and use the postage-paid mailer to send to Greer, the company says.

Test results are easy to interpret and available in 24 hours, the company adds.
