Bluegrass Equine Products introduces Elite G.I., an anti-diuretic product. Elite G.I. is a nutritional additive used to help maintain normal gastrointestinal functions in foals and adult horses.
The product aids in preventing the attachment of bacteria and viruses to the lining of the gastrointestinal tract that can cause diarrhea, which can either prevent or treat a foal diarrhea outbreak, the company says.
Oral supplementation with Elite G.I. can enhance the natural immunity already present, decreasing the possibility of infection. The product can increase the body's ability to fight already present infections, the company adds.
Elite G.I. is not a colostrum supplement and is safe for use in adult horses, the company says.
The product contains high concentration of immunoglobulin that binds to mucosal-cell receptor sites along the G.I. tract.
