Bimeda North America introduces Gallimycin –100 (erythromycin 100 mg/mL). The injectable is used as treatment for certain livestock diseases and as a disease management tool in cattle, sheep and swine production.
Gallimycin provides broad-spectrum antibiotic activity against a wide variety of diseases, such as shipping fever, foot rot, metritis, pneumonia and other respiratory diseases.
One dose per day at ½ mL per 100 pounds of body weight can provide rapid clinical response after one or two doses, the company says.

Gallimycin provides rapid, effective treatment against the most antibiotic-resistant diseases, the company adds.
The drug is proven safe in the field and requires shorter withdrawal and withholding times than many antibiotics, the company says.
Gallimycin-100 is packaged in 100 mL vials.
