First Priority releases its U.S. Food and Drug Administration-approvedPrivasan Antiseptic Ointment, ANADA 200-301. Privasan consists of 1 percentchlorhexidine acetate in a hydrophillic ointment base, which contains 10percent stearyl alcohol. The product is indicated for use as a topical antisepticointment for surface wounds on dogs, cats and horses and is available ina 1-ounce tube, 7-ounce jar and 1-pound jar, the company says.
