Students in credentialed veterinary technician programs from more than 160 schools are eligible.
Veterinary technician students, if you're looking for an internship, your local Banfield may be willing to host you.
Banfield Pet Hospital just announced an official internship program for those enrolled in credentialed veterinary technician courses. Students of more than 160 AVMA-accredited schools are eligible; 65 students have participated already.
Students will gain both hands-on medical experience as well as communication skills in client interactions and patient assessments.
"Encouraging technician students to excel by providing clinical training and hands-on opportunities within our hospitals is an important initiative not only for our practice but the profession as well," says Julie Legred, CVT, certified PetNurse career specialist for Banfield and president-elect of the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America.
Interested students are encouraged to email Legred at julie.legred@banfield.net.
