Consumers asked to return 3.5-ounce bags of jerky treats to stores.
Grill-Phoria LLC of Loveland, Colorado, has ceased production and distribution of Big Bark All Natural Beef Jerky Treats for Dogs after routine sampling of the finished product tested positive for Salmonella. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reports that the company has recalled approximately 200 3.5-ounce bags of jerky treats distributed and manufactured between Sept. 20, 2014, and Jan. 2, 2015.
The recalled products, distributed in Colorado, Wyoming, Utah and Oklahoma, are not labeled with lot codes. Consumers can identify the affected product by its 3.5-ounce "standup" pouch and the Big Bark label.
The FDA encourages consumers to return recalled bags of Big Bark All Natural Beef Jerky Treats for Dogs to the stores from which they were purchased for a full refund. Consumers may contact Grill-Phoria from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, at (970) 663-4561.
