Clarke receives welfare, ethics award at AAHA

TAMPA, FLA. — Roger Clarke, BVSc, was recognized for advancing animal welfare through extraordinary service and furthering humane principles, education and understanding.

Clarke received the Hill's Animal Welfare and Humane Ethics Award at the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) meeting. He is the longtime chair of the WSAVA Companion Animal Welfare Committee. In that capacity, he was instrumental in drafting, adopting and promoting the WSAVA Convention for the Protection of Companion Animals that has been ratified by more than 60 national member organizations.
