Give anxious dogs relief during their stay.
Whenever we have an anxious dog or one that barks continually when it stays for the day at our clinic, we often set a large stuffed animal on the floor in front of the run so that the pet can see it but can't reach it. It generally helps calm the pet as if it had company. We call our candy striper Peter the Penguin. He's a large stuffed penguin and wears a T-shirt with our logo.
