About 2,086 veterinarians attended the annual veterinary continuing education event along with 738 veterinary technicians, 1,532 exhibitors, 1.035 guests and others.
The conference boasted 615 hours of expert instruction for veterinarians and hospital team members.
Special conference programming tomorrow includes a "One Medicine, One Health" presentation, featuring Larry R. Anderson, DVM, MD (moderator); Lisa Conti, DVM, MPH, Dipl. ACVPM, Florida State Health Department; Ludek Zurek, PhD, Kansas State University; David Renter, DVM, PhD, Kansas State University; Jeff W. Tyler, DVM, MPVM, PhD, University of Missouri; John R. Middleton, DVM, PhD, Dipl. ACVIM, University of Missouri. The program is sponsored by Kansas City Area Life Sciences Institute, KC Animal Health Corridor, Kansas State University and the University of Missouri.
Veterinary Medicine Wet Labs & Workshops focused on stifle stabilization, small-animal bandaging techniques, rehabilitation therapy, urinalysis and dentistry. Additional programming included Ask the Expert Luncheons, featuring Drs. John Bonagura, David Bruyette, Michael Dryden, John MacDonald and Victor Rendano; Firstline Live and Veterinary Economics' Hospital Design Conference.
Singer Jo Dee Messina is scheduled to take the stage this evening in the Kansas City Municipal Auditorium.
