At least 12 states affected in voluntary recall of Diamond Naturals Lamb Meal and Rice.
Diamond Pet Foods is voluntarily recalling its Diamond Naturals Lamb Meal and Rice product, as some production lots may be contaminated with Salmonella, the FDA reports. Although no illnesses have been reported, the company is recalling the product as a precautionary measure. No other Diamond manufactured products are affected.
The product was distributed to customers located in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Virginia, and may have been further distributed to other states through pet food channels. The affected production codes are DLR0101D3XALW, DLR0101C31XAG, DLR0101C31XMF, DLR0101C31XAG, and DLR0101D32XMS.
Consumers who have purchased the Diamond Naturals Lamb and Rice with these specific production codes should discontinue feeding the product and discard it.
