The solution, containing tetrasodium edetate, is designed to prepare the ear canal for increased efficacy of antibiotic therapy in dogs and cats. Its an ideal adjunctive treatment for otitis externa, especially in cases of gram-negative infections such as Pseudomonas spp, Proteus spp, Escherichia coli and Klebsiella spp, the company says. The chelating effect of T8 Solution can enhance antibiotic efficacy, even against some resistant bacterial infections, the company adds.
