Blackwell Publishing introduces Equine Nutrition and Feeding, a book that addresses nutrition necessary for successful breeding, growing and working horses.
The 664-page publication discusses the basis upon which scientifically derived conclusions for nutrition and dietary requirements are reached, the company says.
The book was initially released in 1986 and has been extensively updated and revised with a full bibliography and reference list. A full account of the toxicology, metabolic and other diseases related to diet has also been added to the text.
Dr. David Frape authored the book and is a scientific consultant and member of the editorial board of the Equine Veterinary Journal.
