Pharmacia Animal Health announces it has received approval from the U.S.Food and Drug Administration for five new MGA® Premix (melengestrolacetate) combinations. The new premixes include: · MGA + Rumensin+Tylan - This three-way combination is now approved for use as a singleliquid supplement. · MGA + Tylan ­ This combination is now labeledfor use as a single liquid supplement. · MGA + Tylan ­ The completedose range for Tylan (60 to 90 mg/head/day) is now approved in both liquidand dry feeds. · MGA + Rumensin ­ A coccidiosis claim has beenadded for this two-way combination in both liquid and dry feeds. ·MGA + Rumensin + Tylan ­ A new coccidiosis claim has been added, alongwith the full Tylan dose range in both liquid and dry feeds. MGA is a feedadditive that suppresses estrus in feedlot heifers, while simultaneouslyimproving rate of gain and feed efficiency, the company says.
