Yoghund brand Organic Banana & Peanut Butter flavor frozen yogurt dog treats possibly contaminated.
TBD Brands LLC has issued a voluntary recall of Yoghund brand Organic Banana & Peanut Butter flavor frozen yogurt dog treats due to possible Salmonella contamination. According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) this is a cautionary action. The organic peanut butter in the treats are linked to the recent peanut butter recalls of Sunland Inc.
TBD Brands is recalling all cases of Yoghund brand Organic Banana & Peanut Butter flavor frozen yogurt dog treats with Lot Code 268 12 and earlier, along with cups and four-packs with “best by” dates of Sept. 24, 2014, or earlier. To date, there have been no reported incidents of illness in connection with the product, but the FDA advises that individuals handling the frozen yogurt product can become infected with Salmonella, especially if they have not washed their hands after being in contact with the product.
