TOPEKA, KAN. — Hill's Pet Nutrition Inc. announces a partnership with Bank of America® to offer the PetRewards™ Visa® credit card.

The credit card offers rewards to the health-care team members and pet owners.

The PetRewards' program promotes more frequent veterinarian visits for check-ups and purchase of ancillary products. In addition, the entire health-care team may receive incentives for promoting the PetRewards' card.

Team members can register to receive an individualized code to place on brochures in their location's display, and that team member will receive $10 for every application approved for a credit account.

PetRewards card-holders will receive one point for every dollar spent on everyday purchases and two points for every dollar spent on pet-related purchases in participating veterinary clinics, pet specialty retailers, and farm and feed stores.

With 750 points, pet owners can redeem a $7.50 Hill's® Prescription Diet® or Science Diet® brand pet food product discount certificate, and with 1,000 points pet owners can choose either a $20 check for veterinary clinic purchases or a $10 monetary donation to one of more than 1,000 animal shelters across the country.

The PetRewards card also has no annual fee, a low 1.9-percent fixed introductory APR on purchases and balance transfers, the Total Security Protection® Package for greater defense against theft or unauthorized usage. To get owners off to a fast start, 500 bonus points are available with the first use.
