Summit Industries is offering the InnoVet DXR, a digital X-ray system that has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration.The product captures and stores high-resolution images, including hairline fractures that are unnoticeable with conventional film-based systems, in six seconds, the company says.
The digital receptor distinguishes 16,384 shades of gray and magnifies original exposures up to 200 times with high-resolution image clarity.
The DXR system allows veterinarians to make a diagnosis 10-times faster than is possible with conventional radiographs, the company adds.
