– Jeffrey Klausner, DVM, MS, Dipl. ACVIM was named senior vice president and chief medical officer for Banfield, The Pet Hospital.
Klausner joined the practice in March 2009 as vice president of professional relations and government affairs. In his new role, Banfield reports, Klausner is responsible for driving the medical direction of the practice and helping the practice's veterinarians deliver high-quality medical care.
John Payne, president and chief executive officer, says, "As a medical and academic leader in the veterinary profession, Dr. Klausner's years of experience will be instrumental in furthering our mission of providing high quality of veterinary medicine through patient outcomes."
Klausner was president and chief executive officer for the Animal Medical Center in New York City and dean of the University of Minnesota’s College of Veterinary Medicine.
