MAF sponsors favorite vet essay contest

-- For the third year in a row, Morris Animal Foundation (MAF) is setting out to find America's "best" veterinarian.

Pet owners can nominate their veterinarian for the Thank Your Vet for a Healthy Pet(r) contest by completing a short essay explaining why their vet is the best. The national contest honors veterinarians for their dedication, and entries will be accepted through Aug. 31.

One national and five regional winners will be selected by a panel of judges, with one national and five regional winners being announced by Nov. 1. Winners will receive a certificate, be honored at the North American Veterinary Conference in Orlando in January and have their stories featured in several national magazines.

The contest is co-sponsored by Hill's Pet Nutrition and BowTie Inc.
