Elanco Animal Health says its new feed ingredient, Optaflexx, meets the criteria for this new category. FDA-approved Optaflexx will help producers improve production efficiencies and red meat yield during the last phase of the feeding period, according to the company. For the meat industry, this new technology increases the yield of closely trimmed, retail cuts while maintaining eating quality.
