The staff at the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center take hundreds of emergency toxicology calls a day. We're 24/7, 365 days a year. So on holidays, our busiest and most stressful time, we play bingo. Each time we receive a call on a toxic substance, we mark it off our bingo cards. We play through each shift and the person who gets bingo wins a prize. Bingo makes the day fun and encourages participation among staff members.
