E Med Future, Inc. introduces NeedleZap, a new safety device for veterinaryuse that permits easy and effective disposal of used hypodermic needles.Designed specifically to help reduce accidental needlesticks, NeedleZapdisables the sharp portion of a hypodermic needle, leaving the syringe intact.When the metal portion of a hypodermic needle is inserted, the electrodesystem disintegrates the needle in about two seconds, the company says.
