Officials offer new NAVLE self-assessments

Bismarck, N.D. - 3/11/08 - New NAVLE self-assessments are available, developed with help from the National Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners (NBVME).The Web-based practice tests are designed to help candidates become familiar with the formal examination and to identify their strengths and weaknesses among the content areas. They include items taken from the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE) databank.Two 200-item forms cost $50 each. Candidates have 30 days to complete a self-assessment once it's purchased. Upon completion, candidates receive a score feedback report.The NAVLE, a computer-based licensing examination, consists of 360 clinically relevant multiple-choice questions. Approximately 10 percent of the items include visual images.Visit www.nbvme.org for a no-cost sample assessment and more information about the examination.
