PetHub and Mella Pet Care collaborate to improve access to pet records

Mella Pet Care and PetHub’s collaboration will allow users to send pet data from PetHub into the Mella app and send health data back. Some of the pet data recorded in these systems can include temperature, weight, morphometrics, and more.¹

Mella Pet Care is an ecosystem of health monitoring devices for veterinarians and pet parents. With their service, vets and pet parents can use an axillary thermometer, a body fat analyzer, a chip reader pulse oximeter, electrocardiogram (ECG), and more to record health data.¹ To use the Mella system, a Bluetooth device connects to a smart phone to take the temperature of a pet. Once the device collects the health data, it is transferred via Bluetooth to the Mella app where the results can be viewed and recorded.

PetHub is centralized pet data platform that combines software with physical ID tags on pets to keep track of a pet’s location. The company also connects with third-party apps to keep track of pet data, like its connection with Mella Pet Care for health data. With PetHub, data collected from the Mella app can be kept together in one place with all of the pet’s other data, including their physical ID tag.

Anya Babbitt, co-founder and CEO of Mella Pet Care says, “PetHub's platform serves as a single source of truth for pet data. Integration with PetHub allows us to easily keep records consistent and up to date.”¹
