Raleigh, N.C.
- PharmaCom BioVet Inc. announced plans this month two partner with two different entities for the purpose of extending the availability of cancer care for companion animals.
The first announcement came Oct. 8, when the company announced it was finalizing plans to partner with the Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine Department of Clinical Studies to create the world's first dedicated canine bone marrow transplant center.
The college previously made public its plan to offer a bone marrow program - the first of its kind - a few months ago, but the partnership with PharmaCom only recently was announced.
PharmaCom says it intends to open a network of companion animal cancer care centers throughout North America.
Then, Oct. 15, the company also announced plans to co-develop and introduce therapeutic cancer treatments for companion animals with the help of Iso Therpeutics Group.
PharmaCom BioVet formerly was known as ABV Gold Inc., a gold and precious metals mining company.
