Castle Beach Co. introduces ProVSeal, a new polymer gel that forms an invisible barrier when applied to teeth to prevent oral bacteria from adhering to the surface, the company says.Since bacteria cannot form on this gel coating, the chances of a dog or cat developing plaque and resultant gingivitis or periodontal disease are greatly reduced, the company says. ProVSeal is magnetically attracted to the enamel surface of teeth, as a positively charged transfer agent in the gel forms a tight bond with the negatively charged tooth surface to create a waterproof barrier lasting roughly one week, the company adds. The gel can be applied to wet or dry teeth.
