The iM3 Rodent Soft-Tissue Protector and Diamond Disc Safety Shield is designed to protect operator and patient.

The dental kit has only the soft-tissue protectors available for rabbit and rodent oral cavity.

The 60-mm diamond bur is designed to safely reduce the height of the back teeth. The soft-tissue protector allows exposure of the side of the bur facing the teeth.

The diamond disc decreases the incisor length without fracturing the tooth, the company says.

Only about a quarter of the diamond disc is exposed while in use.

Care is taken to assure the low-speed handpiece is always in forward position to prevent the mandrel and disc from separating during use, the company adds.

The 1:1 nose cone is used so the bur and disc can operate at the needed speed of 20,000 rpm.
