The pins, designed differently from standard profile pins, have an enhanced thread design that reduces microfractures, greater holding power, removes the need for cancellous pins, and the pins insert into the bone with a 2 percent press-fit, the company says. The pins are 20 percent stronger than standard pins of the same size, the company adds. Theyre available in four sizes to be used with all veterinary external fixation systems currently available.
