In honor of National Veterinary Technician Week, dvm360® is celebrating all the hard work that veterinary technicians do on a daily basis. However, some technicians feel less respected in their clinics, which can make it hard for them to do their job.

In this interview with dvm360®, Ryan Frazier, BS, LVT, explained how this is a challenge many veterinary technicians face, including himself personally.

The following is a partial transcript of the video.

Ryan Frazier, BS, LVT: I think gaining the respect from either each other or doctors or managers in the field that is definitely a challenge as a vet tech. I want to utilize all my skills. I want to bring money into the practice. I want to see patients and in the past, I have not been respected that way to do that.
