Boston-The third annual Tufts Animal Expo will devote 76 hours of programming, such as sport psychology and public health issues, devoted to professionals in the equine and large animal industries.
The event, to take place Sept. 12-15 in Boston, includes sessions onhorse nutrition, training the horse, sports medicine for the layman, chiropractic,and the limits to breathing and performance in sport horses.
In addition, for large animal veterinarians, sessions will cover perinatology,flea and tick-borne diseases, infectious diseases, pain management, andbusiness skills.
Merial® will host a symposium on emerging vector-borne and zoonoticdiseases. Speakers at the expo include Dr. Lester Crawford, deputy commissioner,FDA; Drs. Mary Rose Paradis and Dr. Melissa Mazan of Tufts University Schoolof Veterinary Medicine; Dr. Christine King, author; and Jane Savoie, formermember, U.S. Equestrian Team.
