We will discuss practical recommended diagnostic modalities to be utilized during routine wellness and sick animal examinations including the use of standard diagnostic equipment augmented by digital cytology and the ability to interact with additional specialists when needed. We will take a closer look at some common clinical scenarios, highlighting tips for interpretation of blood work, urine, and the utility of a point-of-care digital system that gives you real-time access to a board-certified veterinary clinical pathologist and other specialists.

Many of these dogs are heartworm positive. This seminar will discuss the numerous potential problems these dogs may bring to your practice including acting as Dirofilaria immitis reservoirs for local dog populations, producing false negative and false positive antigen tests, carrying potentially resistant microfilariae and unknown health histories.
