Veterinary tip: Hold the IV line

Article

Use IV lines to tie endotracheal tubes during dental procedures.

For endotrachael tubes, we used to use a string of gauze, but during dentals the gauze often wound around the prophy angle. So we started using IV lines as ties instead. We take used IV lines and cut the ends off. Then we

clean the lines and cut them into appropriate lengths for ties. When we finish the dental treatment, we discard the tie.
