The video offers product information and footage demonstrating the use of Consil during dental procedures and Consil Orthopedic in the repair of a comminuted fracture.
Consil is packaged in 2x2.5 cc cups per box and is a bioactive ceramic used in the regeneration of bone loss due to periodontal disease and tooth extractions. Consil Orthopedic is packaged with a dual sterile barrier for sterile field use in orthopedic procedures in dogs and cats. Each cup of Consil Orthopedic contains 7cc of bone-grafting material.
The cup is inside a sterile pouch, allowing for the sterile container to be handled in preparation for the surgical procedure. Consil Orthopedic can be used wherever bone-graft material is needed. such as comminuted fracture repair, osteotomy sites, delayed unions/nonunions, arthrodesis and to fill defects from tumors and screw removal.
The video allows veterinarians to learn about the products and see them used in procedures performed by peers. The material is prepared by mixing with the patient's blood or with sterile saline. Once mixed, Consil Orthopedic forms a granular paste, which conforms to the defect.
