Vmed Technology introduces the PC-Vet, the first hand-held Bluetooth enabled wireless ECG and temperature monitor.

The Pc-Vet is designed for small and large animal ECG screening as well as surgical and critical care monitoring. Bluetooth technology establishes an interference free wireless link to Windows based computers for the real-time display of dynamic ECG traces, heart rate and other patient information on the computer screen.

Patient records can be stored for archival and e-mail transmission with no downloading and patient reports can be instantly printed using any printer connected to the computer. All functional controls are accessible from the PC-Vet keypad.

The PC-Vet is ideal for routine and pre-surgical ECG screening and the selectable and programmable alarms for the heart rate and temperature and elimination of cables to the monitor make the PC-Vet compact and convenient the company says.

Features include species selection, three chart speeds, four gain settings, R-wave and event markers and measuring grid. Patients can be continuously monitored for up to 50 hours on two AA batteries.

The PC-Vet is sold with chest probe for ECG screening, three leg clips, Bluetooth adapter kit, all necessary software, storage pouch and instructions. An optional esophageal probe is available for internal ECG and temperature monitoring.
